Matilda was parasite ridden and emaciated. With good medical and nutritional care, she has blossomed into a lively energetic happy puppy. She was selected as our December pet of the month and placed for adoption. On December 13, 2005, she was adopted by Lisa Borbon. Ulisse
Ulisse is a Collie who was in need of some extra TLC. When he first visited Cypress Creek each side of his face had abscessed and he was in need of a dental. Ulisse also was very underweight and lethargic. Over the next month Ulisse came in for continued care. Ulisse is a very quiet and well-mannered dog. He was a trooper through all of the treatments that were needed to take care of him. After a dental, abscess treatment and over one month of antibiotics Ulisse is doing well. We are very pleased to report that he has gained 20 pounds and his wounds on his face are healing nicely.

Toby
Toby was introduced to his new family in June of this year. He came to see us at Cypress Creek for his wellness exams and vaccinations. In early September, he began vomiting. Toby had many visits to Cypress Creek and 1 visit to FVS where it was discovered that Toby has a history of eating inappropriate things such as nipples from baby bottles. Toby then was scheduled for exploratory surgery. It was discovered that indeed he had eaten a baby bottle nipple. The foreign body was removed and Toby was on his way to recovery. We are very happy to report that Toby is now gaining his weight back and very happy to be feeling much better!

Murphy
Murphy was recently bitten by a pygmy rattlesnake. When her parents found Murphy had been bitten, they rushed her to us. She was given antivenin to help combat the poisons in her system. She was then transported to Florida Veterinary Services so she could receive supportive care over the weekend. We are happy to report that Murphy is doing very well and is happy to be back home with her family again.

Jaylee
The first time we met Jaylee, he was extremely weak and barely 2 pounds. His owner, Margarita Gregory, had just rescued him from a cardboard box found behind a local supermarket. Upon presentation at Cypress Creek Animal Hospital, little Jaylee was so dehydrated and ill, he required a blood transfusion. One of our veterinary nurse's dogs donated the much-needed blood. Jaylee was infected with three different types of parasites, and spent several days in our intensive care unit where our entire staff fell in love with him. We are happy to report that Jaylee is completely recovered and weighs 9 lbs now!!

Daizie
Daizie is a 7 1/2 year old Jack Russell Terrier owned by Dale and Karen Wilson. Daizie came to our hospital when her owners noticed that she was lethargic and vomiting. After performing extensive diagnostics, and a trip to the Emergency Hospital, it was discovered that Daizie had a palm pit in her intestine. She was admitted for exploratory surgery to remove the foreign body. She was in our facility for several days, where she quickly became a staff favorite. Once her IV catheter was removed, she could often be found walking around our treatment area, not far from one of us. She has completely recovered from her traumatic ordeal, and is currently at home enjoying her life with her owners and their grandchildren.
